In today's increasingly secular culture, even some church leaders question the Bible's authority and reliability. This message addresses the crisis of biblical authority by presenting ten compelling reasons we can trust Scripture. The Bible is not only the best-selling book of all time with worldwide cultural influence, but it also has unparalleled manuscript evidence—over 15,000 manuscript pieces within 100 years of its writing. Its remarkable unity despite being written by 40 authors across 1,500 years, fulfilled prophecies, archaeological confirmations, and power to transform lives all testify to its divine origin.Jesus Himself demonstrated how we should approach Scripture—making regular study a habit, living out its teachings, quoting it from memory, and assuming people should know it. The Bible claims to be God's special revelation, inspired, inerrant, infallible, illuminating, authoritative, sufficient, and complete. To approach it effectively, we must guard against overfamiliarity, use different translations for fresh insights, apply what we read immediately, and let the text speak for itself rather than reading our own ideas into it. When we recognize the Bible as the authoritative Word of God, we build our lives on a solid foundation rather than shifting cultural opinions.
