Acts 10 records a pivotal moment in church history when Peter, a Jewish apostle, visited the home of Cornelius, a Roman centurion. Before this encounter, Peter received a vision of unclean animals with God instructing him not to call impure what God had made clean. This divine preparation was necessary because entering a Gentile's home violated Jewish customs. Meanwhile, God-fearing Cornelius had his own vision directing him to send for Peter. When they met, Peter declared his revolutionary understanding: 'God does not show favoritism but accepts from every nation the one who fears him.' Peter simply shared his firsthand witness of Jesus' ministry, death, and resurrection. Nothing elaborate or theological—just his authentic testimony. The result was extraordinary: the Holy Spirit fell on everyone present before Peter even finished speaking. This demonstrated God's acceptance of Gentiles into the faith community without requiring them to become Jewish first. This story challenges modern believers who might be 'undercover Christians.' We don't need theological degrees or dramatic conversion stories to be effective witnesses—just willingness to share what Jesus has done in our lives. God is already working in people's hearts, and our simple testimonies can be the catalyst for transformation. In a world hungry for good news, we have the opportunity and responsibility to share the hope found in Jesus with those who haven't yet experienced it.
