The SOAPS method for Bible study is a structured approach that involves four steps: Scripture, Observation, Application, and Prayer. It's a simple and effective way to engage with God's Word, whether for personal devotion or group study.

Here's a breakdown of each step:

Scripture:

Read a passage slowly and reflect on its meaning.

Observation:

Pay attention to details like who, what, where, when, and why. Ask questions like, "What do I notice about the verses?" and "What is the main lesson or theme?".

Application:

Consider how the passage applies to your own life. Ask, "How can I apply this to my own life?".

Prayer:

Talk to God about what you've read and observed, asking for guidance and applying the truth to your circumstances.

Share:

Ask the Lord whom He would have you share this material with and do so
