Christian, be advised.  The monist (oneist) reunion with nature (its “own being”) and the Western embrace of the Hindu concept of Advaita (not two) in all areas of life, including the philosophical, religious, political and sexual, represent a massive apologetic challenge to the rising generation of Christians in the years ahead.  Make no mistake, for the pagan system of thought, Christianity is the enemy.  As secular humanism “comes home” to its pagan spiritual oneness roots, expressed in both Gnosticism and polytheism, in a strange admixture with postmodern subjectivism, two things at least are required of Christian believers.

  • A clear understanding of the coherence of this opposing spirituality, which comes in many forms.
  • A clear affirmation of the glorious superiority of the worldview of Creator/creation and a fearless declaration of the gospel of reconciliation with the personal Creator, possible only through the atoning blood of Jesus, the sole Mediator between Creator and creature.

This saving truth is the only system of thought that monist (oneist) visionaries cannot integrate into their otherwise all-inclusive ideology.  The Creator/creature truth is the Achilles’ heel of their “all-is-one” thought pattern.  Christianity must therefore be spoken of and lived out with love, courage, and coherent clarity before a hostile world progressively enveloped by the delusion of the monist life.  As Paul implied long ago, the future confrontation will be between not simply thinkers but spiritual worshipers, the worshipers of creation and the worshipers of the Creator.

It turns out that after all these readings, there are not three isms, or the many other isms of pagan thinking and practice that we could have described.  There are ultimately only two options—obeying the voice of the transcendent Creator or worshiping created things.
